On Wednesday afternoon we were treated to poetry performances by our Year 3 Poets.

Year 3 shared different styles of poems. From rhyming to describing, students’ words wove magnificent images through their clever use of adjectives and metaphors.

This was the first time Year 3 have presented their poetry.

Student Jordan said “I was shy but also excited to perform.”

Student Sass said “I learned that you don’t have to put everything you think of in to the poem.”

After the performances, students and audience alike were treated to afternoon tea.
