Woof mail is a hit
Woof mail is a wellbeing initiative in the Junior School whereby students can write to Gunther for advice and connection.
Woof woof, everyone! Gunther here, reporting from Woof Mail headquarters (under Janice’s desk). I have some tail-wagging news to share — I’ve been getting lots of letters and emails!
It’s been about six weeks since this pawsome email/letter adventure started, and I must say — it has been the best time ever! Every day, I get to hear about all the amazing things happening around school. Some students tell me about their days, sharing happy moments like winning a soccer game or making a new friend. Others ask for advice — like how to stay calm before a big test. My answer? Deep breaths, tail wags, and maybe a little nap if time allows.
I’ve also noticed how emails/letters can brighten someone’s day — mine included! Whether it’s a simple hello or a heartfelt message, every one of them makes me feel even more connected to my school family. Some students write to me every week, and it makes my tail wag extra fast when I see a familiar name pop up. I love making sure my friends know they’re heard and appreciated.
Reading these emails and letters makes my tail thump with joy. It reminds me that my job isn’t just about being adorable (though I’m very good at that) — it’s about being here for you all, spreading comfort and encouragement.
So, keep those emails coming! Whether it’s a quick hello, a drawing, or a question about my favourite toys, I’m all ears!
Lots of Woof,
Gunther T. Dog
