2026 Scholarships
We are pleased that there are a number of academic and derech eretz scholarships available for 2026.
These scholarships are designed to give students the opportunity of a King David education. Terms and conditions apply.
2026 scholarship applications are now open. Applications close on Tuesday 18 February 2025. The Scholarship exam is on Friday 28 February 2025.
We welcome applications for students who are entering Year 6 in 2026, who believe they can make a positive contribution to The King David School. The number of scholarships awarded each year is determined by the quality of the applicants, available places, and donations to our Scholarship fund.
Academic Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate high levels of academic ability and who will benefit from and contribute to the extra-curricular life of the School. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the Scholarship Examination, online application and interview.

Derech Eretz Scholarship
Thanks to the generous support of our Donors, we are able to offer a number of Derech Eretz awards to new students entering The King David School in 2026. Derech Eretz can be described as one who consistently demonstrates common decency, or high emotional and interpersonal intelligence.

Sport Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate a substantial commitment to their area of sporting excellence and to representing the school in all relevant events and competitions.
Whilst the Scholarship is not necessarily dependent on excellence in any particular field, an enthusiastic attitude to academic pursuits, would be expected.

Scholarship Application requirements for external applicants:
- copies of the two most recent school reports
- most recent Naplan results
- Prospective Student Profile
- a recent photo of the student who is applying
All applicants will need to complete the following as part of their application:
- The King David School online application
- register with Edutest (link to Edutest will be provided once an online application has been made to The King David School. $100 Edutest registration fee applies)
- an interview with our Principal, Marc Light
- spend a day at KDS
- external applicants are encouraged to attend a Discovery Tour. Please click here for bookings.
All applicants must submit an online Scholarship application made directly to The King David School as well as an application directly to Edutest.

Opportunity to Thrive
This Scholarship is for new students who will be Year 11 in 2026. The overriding purpose of student scholarships at The King David School is to provide access to exceptional learning opportunities for students who share the values of our School community. All Scholarship students are highly committed to giving their personal best, and in doing so, act as positive role models for their peers, our School community, and more broadly. This scholarship is not available to current King David students.

Alumni Scholarship
Thanks to the generous support of our donors we are pleased to offer an Alumni Scholarship to children of King David alumni who are entering Year 11 in 2026. To qualify for this scholarship, at least one of the applicant’s parents must have attended KDS for six years or more. This scholarship is not available to current King David students.

Netzer Scholarship
Thanks to the generous support of our donors we are pleased to offer a Netzer Scholarship to new students entering Year 11 at The King David School. This scholarship will be offered to a student that has demonstrated involvement and leadership in Netzer, Progressive Judaism’s Youth Group. This scholarship is not available to current King David students.
