Our Dandenong Rd campus was buzzing this week as Melbourne Demons players Christian Petracca, Bayley Fritsch, Joel Smith, Jake Bowey and Judd McVee visited the School to speak to our Year 4 and 5 students about leadership.

 The team members stressed that regardless of official role or position, everyone – including all of our students – is a leader. Everyone can lead by example, big or small. Christian Petracca reminded students that “We don’t change just because we’ve become captain or have a leadership badge – you’re a leader because of the values you already have.”

The Demons imparted that good leaders are good listeners, respect everyone’s view even if they are different from their own, and are good role models.

After the leadership talk, the Year 4 students were lucky to take part in a clinic with the players. What an awesome end to our Rosh Chodesh Adar!
