This week the King Davd community were fortunate to hear from Dave Sharma, former Ambassador to Israel and current Senator for NSW. Senator Sharma answered questions posed by Dr Katie Allen, as well as from attendees. Sharma shared his views about the behnd-the-scenes diplomatic work that Arab countries are currently engaging in to help defeat Hamas.

Senator Sharma spoke about the rise in antisemitism witnessed since 7 October. He also spoke about the importance of legitimate protest in a democracy and ensuring protests do not promote hate speech. Both Senator Sharma and Dr Allen stressed the need to ensure that Australia does not become increasingly divided.
