Our KDS Olympian!
Our whole school is cheering for our alumna Alexandra (Sasha) Kiroi-Bogatyreva (Class of 2019) who will be competing in Paris this Olympics!
In response to the video we made celebrating Sasha, she replied:
“It is truly remarkable to receive encouragement from those who have continuously supported me throughout the years. I am humbled by the well-wishes from The King David School in Armadale, Melbourne, where I spent my formative years and fostered my passion for gymnastics.
The school’s unwavering support for my athletic pursuits, including accommodating my demanding training schedule and cheering me on at both the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games, has been invaluable.
I am especially grateful for the dedication of my teachers, who worked closely with me to ensure that I maintained a balance between my academic responsibilities and athletic ambitions.
Their commitment enabled me to excel in both my studies and gymnastics training, ultimately leading to my acceptance into the law program at Monash University in Australia.
I am grateful for the opportunity to represent my country and pursue my dreams while staying connected with my support network. The King David School community, including Principal Marc Light and all the staff and students, will always hold a special place in my heart.
Bonjour from Paris, and thank you for your unwavering support!“
Sasha, we’re so proud to have been part of your journey!
