The Olympic Spirit shines at KDS!
Olympic fever has arrived! Students at the Junior School have been enjoying their own Olympic Week, starting with an Opening Ceremony on Monday. Prof John Zeleznikow (past parent) attended the Ceremony and brought the torch that he carried in the torch relay at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and spoke about its significance. Students came dressed in the colours of one of six countries (Australia, Ethiopia, India, Israel, Italy and Peru). Throughout the week, they competed for their countries during PE, Sport and lunchtime and it concluded today with a Closing Ceremony. Enjoy a short video highlight of Monday’s Opening Ceremony here.
