Vision and Values
Our Vision
The King David School is an independent school anchored in the values of Progressive Judaism, community-mindedness, equity and social justice. We provide an outstanding holistic education across the areas of Teaching and Learning, Jewish life and Student Wellbeing. This is informed by a deep understanding of how children learn and develop, both within and outside of the classroom.
We adopt contemporary pedagogy and curriculum to empower students through the development of independent, critical, creative and collaborative thinking, the capacity to make informed choices and the knowledge and skills to thrive in an ever changing world.
We focus on imparting the spirit and principles of Australian democracy to prepare our students to meaningfully contribute to society. We nurture a strong and proud Jewish identity and foster a deep and abiding connection with the people, land, state and language of Israel. We enable our students to flourish through supporting their emotional and social development and their sense of belonging.
